We all had a great season! We gave a lot of effort into a lot of games and ended up 4-2! I want to thank Matt and Cameron for being such great running backs! Bobby and Brett were awesome Wide Receivers! Bobby as a good QB! And all the blockers on both sides of the ball! Jake and Evan were great Kickers and Punters! Cameron and other players got in the backfield and got a ton of flags! We were one game away from going to the Superbowl!

Well, it was a well-played, tough game, but the Steelers prevailed over the Colts Tuesday night to win the AFC Championship and represent us in the Superbowl. It was a great effort by both teams. The Steelers offense was just too powerful. Defensively, however, the Colts were led on the line by Cameron Grossmann (yes again, with a ton of "tackles"), John Stanford, Evan Grandlich, Bobby Truppe, Jake Nelson, and Michael Hoekman. The pass defense of Tim Stavros, Bobby Trettin, and Bennett Stadler was excellent, holding the Steeler QB to only two completions. Offensively, Matt Schaefer had some very good runs, coming close to breaking a few. These runs were made possible by some great blocking by Nick Ferschl, Justin Schiedemeyer, and Justin Alolor. The loss actually ended on a high note with Brett Geer running back a punt 65 yards for a touchdown on the last play of the game. No, we didn't win the championship, but you guys played hard and took second place. That is something to be very proud of. I know your parents, families, and coaches are extremely proud of each of you!! You showed teamwork, dedication, and won and lost with alot of class and sportsmanship. We hope you had as much fun playing as we did coaching. See you at the Superbowl and banquet on October 27th. Remember, you will each get a certificate and second place trophy. Go Colts!!!

Wednesday night, the Colts picked up another win, defeating the Lions, 8-0. Both teams played well considering the extremely slippery, muddy, and rainy conditions. It was another great defensive effort by the Colts, led again by Cameron Grossman who had multiple flags. The other big defensive highlight was a beautiful interception by Tim Stavros that he returned all the way to the endzone. Unfortunately his flag fell off during the runback, but it was an awesome play. The remainder of the defensive line-up was tough all night, starting the scoring off with a safety. A second half touchdown run by Bobby Truppe gave the Colts the final 8-0 lead. Well, it will all come down to next week's finale against the powerful undefeated Steelers! The AFC birth to the Superbowl will be on the line. See you all at the Hamilton game on Friday!! GO COLTS!!!!!

The Colts had their first loss of the season Thursday night to a very disciplined and aggressive Jets team, 14-0. Their running game dominated on offense and defensively, they kept pressure on the quarterback all night. The Jets controlled the game from start to finish. The Colts will try to get back on the winning track next Wednesday in a big game against the Lions, who are coming off of a win over the previously unbeaten Cowboys. Colts, see you at practice Saturday at noon. GO COLTS!!!

Another great game by the Colts on Tuesday night in a win over the Raiders, 13-0. It was a total team effort. The defense was awesome, led by Cameron Grossman who got into the Raiders backfield throughout the game. Other defensive stars were Tim S., Michael H., Bennett S., Brett G., and Bobby Trettin. They did not allow a completed pass all night. A special teams punt return by Bobby Truppe started the scoring. The offense was led by the great blocking of Nick F., Justin A., and Justin S. which set up some excellent runs by Matt S. and a touchdown run by QB Bobby Truppe. John S. made a great catch for the extra point. Evan G. and Jake N. provided the best kicking game yet. Keep up the great work guys! You should all be proud of your effort and teamwork.

Great game Tuesday in a tough victory over the Dolphins, 6-2. It was a great defensive effort by both teams. The Colts defense was led by the outstanding plays of Bennett, Cameron, Tim, Brett, and Bobby Trettin (one interception). The defensive line of Evan, John, Michael and Jake would not allow any plays up the middle. The offense had some difficulty moving the ball against the Dolphin's defense. Highlights were a touchdown run by QB Bobby Truppe and some outstanding runs by Matt. These plays resulted from great blocking by Justin S., Justin A., and Nick. Off to a 2-0 start!! Way to go guys!! Next practice is Saturday from noon until 2 pm at the high school. Games next week on Tuesday and Thursday. See you there!!

Well, we have the preseason game out of the way. We think we gained a lot of experience for our first season players. We played awesome defense, but needed drastic improvement on blocking for our offense to work. Then, Wednesday, you were a different team during our scrimmage. You guys played terrific!!! Great blocking, offense and defense! You really played like a "team", and the results were amazing. Great job!!! Let's keep it up! Remember, practice this Saturday has been changed to 10 am, so we can scrimmage again at 11 am. See you there....
