Sussex Lions Club

Since 1939 the Sussex Lions Club has annually held fundraisers to assist local and state programs and charities. (See below for a list of programs and charities we have supported in the past, along with a list of our 2010 fundraisers.)

With the costs continually rising to hold these fundraisers, we have found it more important than ever to reach out to the local business community and ask for sponsors for our different events. Every sponsorship dollar donated allows us to multiply that dollar thru our fundraising efforts to better the lives of people in our community. For every dollar we raise, 100% goes back to the public. All of our Lions are volunteers, and the administrative costs of our club are paid from member dues. As volunteers, we believe that is important that the community know which companies are helping us, therefore, we will work harder than ever to make sure that each company gets the recognition that they deserve. With that being said we are looking to partner with you in 2010 for continued success in our major fundraisers.

We are looking for sponsors for various events at our three fundraisers, Lions Daze, Piston & Rod Show, and our Golf Outing, plus sponsors for our Flag Football Program. The Sussex Lions Club started with 20 members in 1939 to fill a need for a community-oriented organization. Since then the club has grown considerably and continues to fill that same need. The Wisconsin Lions Foundation and the Lions Club International Foundation are dedicated to preserving eyesight, combating disability, promoting health, and serving youth. Besides supporting the many efforts of both the Wisconsin Lions Foundation and the Lions Club International Foundation, we are dedicated to making our community a better place to live. Our annual Sussex Lions Daze (Our 3 Day Family & Competition Event that draws participants from all of South Eastern Wisconsin), our Piston & Rod Show ( a great car, truck, & motorcycle show that is rapidly growing in popularity), and our Annual Golf Outing.

In the past these events have enabled the Sussex Lions Club to donate over $1,000,000 to charities and local programs. With the help of businesses like yours our club will continue to make our community a better place to live for years to come.
